FEDERATION OF WOMEN
AN INTERESTING LECTURE
Last night the. University Women's Federation held a most enjoyable meeting in the Wellington Women's Club. Comfortable chairs were arranged in the lounge, while charming flowers added to the attractiveness of the room. : There was a good attendance of members, who listened with great interest to the lecture given by Dr. I. Sutherland, the subject being "Maori and European." Miss England moved a hearty vote of thanks to Dr. Sutherland, which was carried enthusiastically.
Officers elected for the ensuing year were as follows: —President, Miss. I. Wilson; Dominion secretary, Miss C. Heine; treasurer, Miss Simkins; secretary, Miss Sutherland; committee, Mrs. S.\Tv Clere, Misses Ellis, Mortimer, Batham, Comrie, Johnston, and North. Miss K. Hoby was elected to represent, junior graduates of not more than four years'standing. , . . ;
