A caucus ;of the "Coalition Party has been called for Wednesday morning, which is an indication that the perplexing problem of the equity clause in the Rural Mortgagors' Final* Adjustment Bill has been adjusted -,on better balanced lines which will appeal to a majority of the party.. It is;'intended today to apply for urgency .on the ; measure so that the House may make ' definite progress on the Committee stage before it rises. , > ', '> In the House of Representatives this afternoon Independent members forced a division on a question whether mittee stages of the Billl. • Their objecmittee stages of the Bill. Their' objeo jtion was that unless, the amendments Ito the vital clause dealing with,Jhe 20 per cent, equity were ready, it'was unfair to ask the House, to discuss the Bill further. Labour members - supported Independents in' the. division, which resulted in the urgency motion being carried by' 33 to' 24. ~ '■
