DEATH FROM INJURIES

The death occurred at the Wellington Hospital last night of Edward English, who was severely injured when' the motor-cycle on which he was a pillion rider, collided with a motor-car at Glenside on Saturday evening. The deceased, who was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas English, of Lyall Bay, was 20 years of age and a clerk by occupation. He was a popular figure in local sport, in summer as a member of the Karori Cricket Club, and in winter as a member of the Athletic Football Club's senior teams. He showed much proihise as a Rugby footballer and was held in high esteem by his club.
