Sir, —I wish to endorse the remarks of "Suffering One" in connection with the smoke nuisance from the hospital chimney. Despite numerous complaints from residents of the thicklypopulated -area affected, nothing has been done to remedy the nuisance. Similar trouble was rectified to a great extent in the City Corporation's destructor at Clyde Quay, and the trouble now complained of can also be "put right if the authorities concerned will take appropriate action. — I am, etc.,
