THE HOSPITAL CHIMNEY
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —I wish to endorse the remarks of "Suffering One" in connection with the smoke nuisance from the hospital chimney. Despite numerous complaints from residents of the thicklypopulated -area affected, nothing has been done to remedy the nuisance. Similar trouble was rectified to a great extent in the City Corporation's destructor at Clyde Quay, and the trouble now complained of can also be "put right if the authorities concerned will take appropriate action. — I am, etc.,
E. R. SCEATS, Hon. Sec, Newtown Municipal Electors' Assn.
