A HORTICULTURAL HALL

(To the Editor.) Sir,—l wish to strongly object to the proposal to erect a Horticultural Hall between the stop, bank and the Hutt River. I have lived in the district for forty years and. saw the Hutt before the erection of the stop bank. This work has made the'district, and I cannot imagine anyone agreeing to the proposal. In the event of a flood will the Horticultural Society make a claim against the Hutt River Board for compensation?—l am, etc., . .' , JOHN BRASELL.
