RUGBY, February 6. The Newcastle steamer Bretwalda, 5293 tons, inward bound from Manaos, Brazil, with a cargo of nuts and rice and other inflammable material, was discovered to be on fire when nearing Liverpool 'yesterday. She sent a message for assistance-and made for the Mersey, where she now lies off Brunswick Docks. Three holds are ablaze, despite the efforts of; fire floats and fire engines, which are directing streams of water into her. .
