FOR HOMES OF COMPASSION

Last night a"most enjoyable entertainment, provided by the.' pupils of Miss. Grade Keirr and Miss Dorothy Daniels;-took place at the New Assembly Hall, Brougham Street, in aid of the Homes of Compassion. The items," which included recitations, dancing,- songs, and violin solos, were bright and varied and executed with vigour and finish. Pretty frocking was a feature of them all, the attractive colours' of the dresses looking charming against a "drop" curtain, oh which was painted a garden gay with flowers. Those taking part were Misses Gracie Kerr, Esme Chalk, Florence McKenzie, Ngaira. Collins, Thelma Wakeford, Daphne Violich, May Hyam, Patricia Kerr, Joyce Guyton, Vivian Violich, Audrey Daniels, Beverley Peek, Connie Chalk; and Mr. RayTrewern.
