5 PER CENT. DIVIDEND
The report. of the "directors: of the Union Bunk of Australia, Ltd., states that in accordance, with the arrangements made to alter the bank's accounting date to August 31 in each year, the directors submit the balance-sheet of the bank as at August 31,. 1934, which, after making provision for bad and doubtful debts and other contingencies, exhibits a net; profit for the six months from. March 1 to August 31, 1934, of £106,998 14s 4d, to which is added £104;032 4s- bi-ought' forward, from the previous year, making £211,030 18s; 4d. ■ From this the directors have declared- a dividend of two shillings- and sixpence per share, free of United Kingdom, income -tax, payable' to proprietors registered in the'books of the bank on: December 31, 1934.
