V.M.C.A. CLUB'S EVENTS
The following events were conducted by the V.M.C.A. Swimming Club on Tuesday evening at Te Aro Baths for the president's trophy, series:—
Plunge—R. Barnes (48£t' 7in), 1; J. White (47ft Sin), 2; C. L. Hulston (44£t 6in), 3.
. Diving.—J. Wallace, 1; C. L. Hulston, 2: H.-Ward, 3. , iJuniors.— Plunge: A, Appleton (30ft Sin), 1; H. GoetzloC (28£t 4in), 1; R. Howarth (2aft 9in), 3.
Leaders in the president's trophy competition are:—J. Wallace (12^, L. Willetts (9), R. Bnmes, C. ,L. Hulston, and O. S. Oliver (7). The ivatei- polo match, V.M.C.A. v. University, resulted in favour o£ V.M.C.A. by 2 goals to nil. C. l'ittes scored both goals.' Mr. P. Coira was referee.
The following will represent the club in tjie Peck Shield harbour race next Saturday :—L. Waller, ■K. Osbornc, ,D. -Me-. Laclilan, L.1 Riley, and R. McConnell; ■ The cluKs; individual ■ swimmers will be:—C. L. Eulston, ,T. .Torbit, I. Gow, and J. White.' A. silver., medal .donated by Mr. K. S. Henry will be presented to the first V.M.C.A. swimmer to finish.
