10 PER CENT. PENALTY

The last day for the payment of city rates without incurring the 10 per cent penalty is February 18. Receipts in January this year have shown a marked improvement over January last year, and when those who invariably wait until the last few days have paid in their rates it is anticipated that the rates collected will be well in excess of those collected last year.
