DAY'S BAY GALA

A crowd estimated at 3000 attended the gala at Day's Bay on Saturday night. About 700 wont over from Wellington on the Muritai, and many more travelled round by bus and car. A very varied and interesting programme of entertainment was provided. The vaudeville show proved very popular. Messrs. Dan Hopa, Frank Andrews, and "Vivian Middleton, and Misses Gracie Kerr.and Miriama Heketa were very well received. Mr. E. Dean was t the accompanist. A fireworks display was later given from the Muritai lying < off the , wharf. Dancing was held in the .pavilion from 10 p m., music being provided by - the Merry Melody. Makers Orchestra.
