Hot dusty conditions prevailed for track operations at Awapuni this morning. Few of the visitors were on hand, and little of interest was accomplished.

A. Cutts, with Fracas, Knock Out, Hororata, and Owlsgleam, P. Ecardon, with Korcro, Miladi, Revision, Nigbtgnard, and Diana, and $. W. liowe, with Rqd Sun and Sunee,are to hand and furnished interest to the operations.

\ Fracas was travelling better than Knock Out at the close of six furlongs 911 tho.plough done in lmin 18 l-ssec, tho first three taking 38scc! Red Sun was to have sprinted three furlongs, but was not speeded up till the run homeland took 44sec for the distance.

Hororala and Owlsglcam ran Che fii-ht two furlongs in 25sec and five in lmi« sscc. Owlsgleam, who had the outside running and greater poundage, impressed. Warvaue had True Shaft as a companion over five furlongs, both with lightweights up, particularly the former, but W;irvano registered a good effort, being clear of True Shaft after running the distance in lniin ssoc. Pango and Blije EoV were partnors over seven furlongs; rhe former had an advantage at tho close of the first half-mile, which was covered in 52sec. Tho full distance took lmin 33sec.

Not a single defection from Wednesday's fields has been announced.

Some 12,000 gallons of water were sprayed on tho course proper yesterday, and there is every prospect Of good racing conditions.
