TEAPOT NEST

A PRETTY PATTERN

This is an unusually pretty # nest, consisting of tho flat stand, with a thick, upstanding ruche of crocheted loops. You require 4oz of double-knit-ting wool, a suitable crochet hook, and ii round of cardboard, 7 inches across. Commence'with 3 chain; join; into this circle work 8 double crochet. . Second Round.—2 double crochet between each of first round. Third Hound. —2 double crochet between each second of previous round. Fourth Bound.—2 double crochet between each third of previous round. Continue, increasing sufficiently to keep tho stand quite flat. Work 14 or 15 rounds. Make another piece exactly the same, place the piece of cardboard between them, and sew firmly round the 6- For tho ruche, make 19 chain, turn, work a row of double crochet (18 d.c.) into the chain, 2 chain,, turn. . Pm" the ruche to tho edge, the loops to the inside, ana sew neatly all round. Fold back ana sew to the'outside of stand.
