Labour Day this year was a red-letter day for the Evans Bay Club, The entirely unprecedented weather conditions brought out hundreds of spectators who were given an excellent display of racing. Tho opening ceremony was very largely attended, and after the club pennant had been broken out by the president, afternoon tea was provided by the energetic ladies of tho committee. . ■ ; - The prizes wore presented at a dance in the evening which was an outstanding success. . , ■
