PAINT AND PAINT
When asked what "he was going-to be, Christopher replied, "A painter.l^ ; His parents thought this ambition must havo sprung from watching his aunt, who does ■flower studies. But they were wrong. On his fourth birthday ho was.given a box of water-colours, a camel-hair brush, a jar, of water, and a rag. After an hour ho had covered a sheet of paper with what seemed to be a thunderstorm. ' "What is it, darling?" he was asked. "My painting," replied Christopher simply. "I've given it thrce^'coaja.,"
