SUVA, This Day
The weather conditions today have improved, and the rain has ceased. "If things arc no worse," said Kingsford Smith, "1 will hop oft* about nine tomorrow morning for Naselai, where fuel awaits, and leave about noon, probably for Fanning Island."
The Governor has placed the Government yacht Pioneer at his disposal at Naselai as a base.
Smithy luncheoned with the Governor yesterday, and was tho guest of the Defence Club in the afternoon,
Latest information is that Smithy reports his engines as being in excellent condition and the wireless apparatus thoroughly tested.
He expects to land at Honolulu i" twenty-two hours.
