YACHTING
RACES AT PAREMATA
The first of the Paremata Club's races were held in a moderate southerly breeze during the weekend, aud some interesting finishes were witnessed. The first-class results were:—Kotuku (4min 30sec), 12h 22m 375, 1; Kewpie (Omin), 12h 22m 37 l-ss. 2; Lois (Imin), 12h 25m 31s, 3; Queenie (4min), 12h 26m 3s; Mouica (scr). 12h 27m 445; Miss Josephine (scr), ■12h 30m 575.
The Vagabond retired after fouling the clubhouse buoy on the first round.
In the race for the Takapuna class, the Marie, sailed by H. Davis, capsized, and the race was readied in the afternoon, the results being as follows:—Noleen (scr), 3h 00m 555; Waivoa (Smin), 3h Sim 555; Twink (3%min), 3h 52m 555; Adair (3% mm), 3h 53ra 40s; Kineora (4%min), 4h 11m 20s.
In tlie Tauranga class thero were only three starters, and the results were:—Mao (2min). lib. 30m ss; Linnet (3%min), llh 31m 255; Robin (ser), llh 32m 4s.
