Stating that ho had an offer of a position with Sir Charles Kingsf ord Smith, Harry Sergeant, aged 20 years, of Hamilton, pleaded guilty before Mr. AVyvern Wilson, S.M., to stowing away on tlio Monterey .. at Auckland on 'October 5. ■'■ '•' '-••■■'••■■
. The police verified a statement-that tho accused hadjettors from. Sir Charles, and .said".that tho,youth's mother was In poor circumstances" and had eonio from Hamilton to help him.
Tho Magistrate .pointed: out tlio seriousness of the act.and ordered the youth to como up for sentence if culled upon.
