LABOUR'S CAMPAIGN
FINDING CANDIDATES
(By Teleoraph.)
(Special to tho "Evening Post.")
DUNEDIN, This Day.
Names of Labour candidates to contest tho Dunedin and Chalmers seats have already been announced, but there is a vagueness concerning the arrangements for contesting tho country seats.
In' local Labour circles it is considered that if a Labour representative who understands farming conditions can be found for tho Clutha electorate ho would havo a good chance. It is likely, therefore, that every" effort will be mado to find a suitable man. The matter of selecting a candidate for Contral Otago has not been settled, though a Labour aspirant for Waitaki will probably be selected soon, as well as one for Oamaru. Moreover, the Hon. A. Hamilton is sure to have opposition in Wallace. Labour will seek to capturo Invercargil), though it would seem that the most likely of Colonel Hargest's opponents, Mr. T. O'Byrne, has been put out of the running through his appointment to thp Legislative Council.
