AUCKLAND DISPUTE ENDS

AUCKLAND, This Day

The waterside dispute has been settled. After delay since last Thursday, tlio Union Company's Waipiata will sail tonight for southern ports. The other five Union Company vessels affected arc being worked today, and the Waipahi's bananas from Suva and the Waimarino's produce, from tho south are being discharged. The Waiinca sails early this evening for Gisborne and Napier. AUCKLAND, October 16. Officials of the Union Company and the Waterside Workers' Union conferred this afternoon, and the result of the conference will be reported to members of the union at a meeting tomorrow morning. It is anticipated that after the meeting the dispute will be settled and labour will be available for all the idle vessels.
