RIFLE SHOOTING
KARORI CLUB
The Karori Rifle Club held a double shoot at 500 yards last Saturday, the second of which counted for the C.A.C., Bertram, Johnston, and Collins cups. A strong fishtail wind was blowing which gave even the most experienced shots a good deal of trouble, and, in the circumstances, the shooting was of a very high standard. A particularly pleasing aspect of the day's shooting was that all the top scores were obtained by the younger members of the club, two of whom reached the club standard of 94. The handicap trophy of thirty rounds of ammunition was won by B. G. Goldfinch, while the scratch trophy of the same value was won by F. Ching. Next Saturday's shoot will be at 600 j yards, and the second ten shots will j count for the cups mentioned above. < Scores: — Hdcp. Ttl. 15. G. Goldfinch 46 45 3 94 K. G. Munro '44 40 4 94 H.
