FUNERAL OF MR. A. O. LEACH
The funeral of Mr. A. 0. Leach, late secretary of the Wellington War Belief Association, took«plaee yesterday afternoon, there being a large and rcprosentative attendance of citizens. A service at the house in Wadestown was conducted by the Rev. F. H. Wilkinson, who was assisted, by the Rev. J. L. Ashley-Jones, -who also conducted the service at the graveside. This service was supplemented by the Masonic funeral service conducted by SquadronLoader T. M. Wilkes, Worshipful Master of Lodge Empire, 3STo. 225. _ The chief mourners were the widow and Mr. J. Kiernan (brother-in-law). The official pallbearers were Messrs. G. S. Falconer (representing the V.M.C.A. and the Order of St. John), E. Cannons (secretary of the Hospital Boards' Association), S. J. Harrison (secretary of tho New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association), Colonel A. Cowlcs (president of the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association), J. Montgomery and F. E. Bailey (War Relief Association). Among those present were Messrs. L. 0. IT. Tripp, C. M. Luke, Alexander Macintosh, Colonel G. Mitchell, A. Watson, Colonel J. J. Essou, C.M.G., V.D., IT. W*. Korsley, H. Seaton, and R. L. Macalister (members of the executive of tho War Relief Association), Mr. J. Spence (secretary Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association), the Mayor (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop), J. McKay, G. McKay, G. Henly, O. Dillner, V. R. Earnshaw, IT. Goldiug, F. Cook, F. 0. Austin, E. Hunt, James Mclntosh, Colonel Mabin, Captain Bishop ( representing the South African War Veterans' Association), Captain M. S. Galloway (representing tho Red Cross Society), Mrs. T. P. Vautier, Mrs. Tythe Brown, Mrs. Jowetfc (representing the Plunkct Society). Tho many wreaths included floral tributes from tho War Relief Association, headquarters of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association, and the Society for the Acknowledgment of Debt to British Soldiers and Sailors Fund and Flock House. '
