MR. STEPHEN JOHNS
The unexpected death of Mr. Stephen Johns at his residence in Karori last Tuesday came as a great shock to many people, as up till the time of his decease he had been actively engaged in the building and joinery firm of Johns Bros., which he had conducted for the past 15 years. Mr. Johns.was a tennis enthusiast and a keen follower of tho Rugby code, being a vice-president of the Poneke Club and a very active member of the St. Patrick's College Old Boys' Club. His quiet and unassuming naturo and cheerful disposition mado him widely popular, and tho attendance at the funeral showed the esteem in which ho was held. He leaves a widow and two children.
