(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
DANNEVIEKE, This Day.
A meeting of the Hawke 's Bay Dairy Companies' Association, representing the dairy farmers of the province, passed a resolution protesting against the dairying industry not having adequate representation in the discussions whi,eh are to take place in the United Kingdom between the Meat Board and the High Commissioner concerning the position of the importation of meat into the United Kingdom, and .expressing the opinion that the control of all by-products of the dairying industry should be under an appropriate body responsible for the conduct of the industry and the export of its primary products. It was decided, also 'to get into touch with similar organisations and to hold a meeting at PaJmerston North on October 3 to discuss the position with a view to asking Parliament to secure the control of the pig and bobby calf industries to the Dairy Board or some other organisation controlled by the dairying industry.
