Two rather overdue successes, in New South Wales this spring came the way of the '■New-Zealand invaders at* the Hawkesbiiry Meeting last Saturday. Autopay; having his-second outing .on the. trip, won .the I/lying Handicap, worth £120 to the winner, under the Svelter weight ot 9.13 in lmiu 13% sec;' and/Senior, also hav-| ing his 'second start, gained his first Australian success in the mile highweight handicap, worth .£"BS to the winner. . .Autopay,,.; owned in ■ Wellington by the two well-known sportsmen Messrs-.-N. E. Aitk'eh'. arid Hv F. Wood, was" in great order when he left Trentham last month and his win came ns.no surprise. At his first start; in thaCamellia Stiikes'.at Rose-i hill, he " .was.
