DELIGHTFUL DANCE
AN ARTISTIC ENSEMBLE
A most enjoyable dance was given last night by Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Nathan for the coming-of-age of their daughter Joyce. The dance was held-at Kirkoaldie and Stains's Tearooms, where over 300 guests were present. Spring flowers and greenery decorated the ballroom and lounge, making a delightful blend of colours.
Supper was served in the Jacobean Boom, which was decorated in shades of pink with tulips, camellias, and blossom. On the central table was a large cake, made as a birthday present for Miss Nathan by Mrs. O. Louisson, of Palinerston North. The cake was decorated with pink icing and twentyone pink candles.
The guests wore received by Mrs. Nathan, who wore a beautifully cut frock of petunia lacquered satin, and by Miss Joyce Nathan, who wore a plain white satin frock, cut on the cross and fitting closely, with diamante shoulder straps as the only trimming.
