CORRUPT PRACTICE
DISQUALIFICATIONS UPHELD
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
j. AUCKLAND, September 4. Two disqualifications, one fur life, have been confirmed by the Auckland District Racing Committee. The case arose out of the entry of Star Lap for the Rotorua-Bay of Plenty Hunt Club's Meeting at Rotorua in July by R. B. Mclntyre and M. C. L. A. Jensen on the ground that Mclntyre was ineligible under the Gaming Act, and Jensen, in registering his interest in the horse, used an assumed name contrary to the rules of racing.
The Hunt Club decided that for corrupt practice Mclntyre should be disqualified for life, and Jensen for twelve months. The district committee endorsed these disqualifications.
