CHRISTCHURCH, September 4.
At a conference of delegates of the New Zealand Women's Hockey Association held tonight Mi?s Yorarton stated that the association proposed to send a New Zealand team to Australia next July. It would be necessary to raise a lar^e sum, as the team would participate in the Australian interstate tournament, which would extend over a week, and play two, possibly four, Test matches. It was stated that it would be necessary for the association to discuss the matter further and definitely discover what assistance could be given by affiliated associations. A levy of Is a player was suggested.
