THIRD DAY OF TOURNAMENT
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) ! CHEISTCHUECH, September 4. Most of the matches in tlic third day of the women's hockey tournament were closely contested. Canterbury Aput up the biggest score of the day, 9-0, against West Coast. Marlborough leads in the A section, with Central Otago onty one point behind. Canterbury A seems to have the best-chance in the B section, while the C section should be between Southland and Eastern Southland A, both unbeaten teams.
Results of the games today are:—
A Section.—Marlborough 2 beat Wairarapa 1, Wellington 2 beat Canterbury B 0, Central Otago 4 beat Otngo'l. B Section. —Euahine 3 beat Eastern Southland 1, Canterbury A 9 beat West Coast 0.
C Section. —Eastern Southland A 3 beat North Otago 0, Ashburton 4 beat Bush 2, Southland 4 beat South Canterbury 3.
