BOXER IN HOSPITAL
E. Aitkon, one of the entrants in the bantamweight class at the Wellington amateur boxing championships, was taken to the Hospital last night apparently suffering from concussion. Tho Hospital authorities were unable to supply particulars as to the boy's injuries today, but stated that he was progressing favourably and would probably, not be kept long at the institution. Aitken won his preliminary bout, but was faced with a vigorous opponent in tho final and, near the end of the first round, was put down for a count of nine. He managed to finish the round, but soon after the start of the second was felled again, falling fairly heavily on the back of his head. An attempt was made to secure a doctor from among the audience, apparently without success, and the boy was later sent to tho Hospital.
