HGKITIKA'S JUBILEE
•The Westland Racing Club, on the. occasion oi its next Summer Meeting? will be a central figure in connection with the jubilee celebrations to mark --the 70th year of Hokitika's establishment. The meeting will open on Boxing Day as usual, p.nd the second day will fall three days later on a Saturday. The change will permit two trotting events being included in the programme, which will be prepared this month, following the annual meeting of the club. The Jubilee Carnival for the town extends from December 26 to 31, and will include numerous sporting eveutf., .comprising ■■ two days for athletics, boxing, swimming, etc., with the final day for nil aerial display, winding tip with fireworks on New Year's Kve. The citizens nry 00-operatinjr to make the carnival a success, and rlm-infr the celebrations old identities of Hokitiku will he. entertained by tbc Cilizens" Committee.
