SAVIDAN'S EASY WIN AUCKLAND PROVINCE TITLE

The Auckland provincial harrier championship was decided over 6& miles oa Saturday, the British Empire Games runner, J. W. Savidan, securing an easy victory, winning by 400 yards from A. .M. Atton, of H.M.S. Diomede.' Savidan't time was 33min 32sec.
Neither Savidan nor Atton- is available 'for.the_ team to represent.Auckland in the Dominion championship race at Dunedin on September • 15. The team is as follows: Nicholson, Valder, Pineon, Birtwhistle, and Hill.
