Tin' fifty miles cycling championship conducted by the Otago Athletic and Cycling Club, held on Taicri Plain oil Saturday, was run in a cold south-westerly wind, accompanied by sleet showers. Ten out oC 19 starters completed the course, the winner being T. G. Fleming (Christchurch), with A. M. Jones (Cliristchurch) second, and T. J. Young (Tcrmika) third. Fastest time was recorded by L. 1 hernias (Christchurch), who, off scratch, registered 2hr 26miu 21see. Results are:—L. U. Fleming (Christchurch), 9min 2Jir 32min 33 4-ssec, 1; A. M.
