KROLL OPERA HOUSE
HINDENBURG MEMORIAL
(Received August 7, 11 a.m.) BERLIN, August 6. The garishly decorated Kroll Opera House was strikingly transformed for Ilcrr Hitler's funeral oration on tho late, President', Hindenburg. The interior was turned overnight into a cathedral, hung everywhere with crepe, evergreens , and pure white lilies forming the only relief. Before the Government tribune stood the bust of.Hindenbvirg flanked by two four-foot candles and laurel trees. Behind 'it hung a huge swastika flag. The full State Orchestra of a hundred pieces played funeral marches as two thousand Deputies filed to the places they so infrequently occupy nowadays. Outside- huge crowds thronged all the approaches to the building, which was hung-with a forest of half-masted flags. All routes were guarded, over two thousand State police and General Goering's "specials" standing so closely together that their feet were actually touching in sovno places. Similarly, insido the building the police stood about everywhere in the passages and entrances. .
