HERR HESS'S APPEAL'
PARIS, August 6. Herr Hess, Herr Hitler's deputy, in an interview with the "Petit Journal,V appeals to Franco to establish an entente with * Germany in the economic sphere. ■-""■■. "We could bo of great assistance to each other," ho says. "The woollen mills afc Roubaix aro closing becauso they cannot export enough and Germany is one 'of Roubaix's chief customers. Now you aro demanding reprisals because Germany does not buy more, but sho has no alternative. Reprisals will only make tho situation worse. Peace depends on Franco-Gor-man rapprochement."
