NETEOROLOGICAL
SYNOPSIS OF LAST 48 HOURS.
During the weekend a rather, intense depression has been responsible for moderate to I strong north to west winds and mild, unsettled, [squally weather. Bain has fallen-in many parts of the country, but mainly In districts with a westerly aspect, where some heavy falls hare occurred at times. The:.trough of the depression.is now crossing the Dominion, and by this morning a cold southerly change had Bet in over the southern half of the South Island, but elsewhere northerlies 'or westerlies ; were still prevailing.
