TRIAL OF NEW MACHINE
KINGSFORD SMITH'S PLANS
, SYDNEY, July 20. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith tried out his new Lockheed Altair machine today and admitted that it attained a speed of 185 miles an hour. Ho intends to fly ■to England, which he isays is cheaper than sending the machine by steamer. . '
