Sir, —I have to thank Mr. Mander for correcting me in respect to tho infer*, oneo I had drawn from his romarks 1 concerning the attitude of the Now Zealand manufacturers to the maintenanceof the unjustifiably high rate of exchance. Mr. Mander says lam not very good at drawing inferences. Ami correct in drawing tho inference that, quito apart from tho ability to estimate ahead just how .much their imported materials will cost them, the New Zealand manufacturers will bo prepared to ngre* to an early removal of tho present artificial rato-of ', exchange, because the British manufacturer will thereby be enabled to compete in the New Zealand market on thp samo terms as the domestic manufacturers, as laid down in tho Ottawa Agreement?—l am, etc, CONSUMER.
