CLASS LEGISLATION
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—ln Friday's "Post" a correspondent appeals to the middle classes and expects a virile organisation among them. My experience of the type .in Wellington prompts mo to advise him to'forget, it. The invariable cry when any are approached, "I can't do anything," sums them up. The powers behind the politicians do not even trouble to think they exist. They should suffer" lot a .while, so that them-women-folk could force them to action. However, as things arc progressing now, most of them are booked for relief work so that their apathy will "bring its reward. Intense selfishness may be a big factor. How many would givo any 'time or money to political reform? Let the other fellow do it!—l'am, etc.,' - SIN v ESPERANZA.
