The dance room was gaily decorated with coloured streamers ■ and quaint Chinese lanterns' made soft subdued '.lighting. » Mrs. C.. Smith sang two songs : which were well,; receivedj Miss'M. Peterson: .accompanying, her, and A^-Mr. Norman1 Aitken was'; heartily encored for each of his recitations. -.->■ :': .. . . '■:.';:

Prizes we're' awarded to the ■ winners of the animal dance, "The Two Bears" (Mr. G. Taplm ana Miss K. Rhodes). A novel dance created much merriment in which six couples had to dance the sailors' hornpipe, and -was won by Mrs. ,0: Smith and' Mr. -L. 'Porkhis._and .Mrs. 'Batching ;and Mr. G. Taplin.- ■'■.;'. '

A night of old-time dancing was indulged in. and judging by the repeated encores it was evident that this kind of programme is gaining in popularity. AH ex-pupils were cordially welcomed to these fortnightly functions and others wishing to attend are reminded that the proceeds are devoted to their "old school."
