A HOARDING THAT TALKS
Ah advertisement hoarding' which "speaks" has appeared in the Avenue dcs Champs Elysees, the Regent Street of the French capital, says the Paris correspondent of the London "Daily Telegraph." If it serves as a model for others, the peace of Parisians will be seriously disturbed. The attention of passers-by is attracted at regular intervals by a voice declaring in loud stage whispers that it uses the article advertised. ! The words have been recorded on wax, and the stage whisper was perhaps fortunately rendered necessary by a local regulation . forbidding loudspeakers in public thoroughfares.
