ALLOTMENT TO SMALLER STATES
(Keccived July 24, 2 p.m.) CANBEBBA, This Day. 'As the result of. the . rejoinmeudations of the Commonwealth. Grants Commission, the Federal 'Ministry has decided to make provision in the Budget for the. payment this financial year
of grants to the smaller States of the following amounts:—South Australia," £1,400,000; "Western Australia, £600,----000; Tasmarfi, £400,000.
