SUPREME COURT

CASES AT -AUCKLAND

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

AUCKLAND, This Day. Only fourteen eases are set down for trial at the sessions of the Supreme Court, which were opened this morning by Mr. Justice Her dman. There are three charges of negligent driving so as to cause death, and a series of charges against a man, his wife, and their son of counterfeiting half-crowns. The Judge directed the Grand Jury to scrutinise closely a charge of bigamy about which he had doubts. He said that the onus was "oh" the Crown to prove that the accused did know that his wife was alive during his seven years' absence from her.
