Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Barker, Christchurch, returned to their homo on Sunday after a visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. AVanklyn returned to Christchurch yesterday after a short visit to AVcllington. Mr. and Mrs. Colin Munro, Wellington, are paying a brief visit to Christchurch, and expect to. return to Weliingtou tomorrow. Mr. n. S. S. Kyle, M.P., and Mrs. Kyle, who have been in Wellington for the past few weeks, returned to Christchurch on Saturday.'"" Miss Kit Ormond, Hawke 's Bay, who was a visitor to Wellington for race week, is now staying with Mrs. P. Borthwick, Master-ton. Miss Elizabeth McGregor, Kelbnrn, formerly of Scotland, will leavo for a visit to friends in Auckland and Eotorua before her departure for Melbourne, where' she intends residing for a-year before returning to Scotland. Miss K. Roche, Wellington, is a visitor to Dunediu. Mis. Prank Hay, Wellington, is visiting Dunedin. Mrs. 11. A. Nutt, Kaituna, who was a visitor to Wellington for the conference of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union, returned homo oil Sunday. Mrs. P. INT. Jeffreys arrived in Wellington from the south this morning. The best wishes of the council for a pleasant trip and tho success of their mission were extended by tho Mayor of Auckland, Mr. (i. W. Hutchison, at a meeting of the City Council to Miss Ellen Melville and Miss Alice Basten, who will leave by tho Niagara on July 24 for Honolulu to attend the PanPacific AVomen's Conference. ■ Miss Marjorie Hawkei1, Adelaide, who has been visiting Wellington, has left for the north. Staying at the Hotel St. George are Mrs. Myrtle R. Andrews, Misses Ella and Hilda Hermanson, Miss Mabel Gordon, Miss Carrie D. Hood, and Miss V. Sterncmann (Honolulu), Miss B. Pountney (Auckland), and Miss C. Glendenning (California). Mrs. Kalph Hales, Hawke's Bay, is a guest at the Grand Hotel. Miss J. Shearer, Wanganui, Is staying at the Midland Hotel. Miss S. Allan (Auckland)' Miss E. Schoneld (Brisbane), and Mrs. J. Kebbcll (Levin) are among thp guests at the Boyal Oak Hotel.
