TWO SECONDS
J. T. JAMIESON'S HORSES
(From "Vedette.")
SYDNEY, May 10
■J;T. Jamieson's stable was not in luck's way at- Warwick Farm on Saturday, two of its fancied candidates, Forestiy and UpoUo Ariki, being beaten into second place.
"Forestry 1 who has1 been .in second place in each of his two races since returning to Australia, was probably a trifle unlucky." A week earlier at Rosehill Bill Wedgewood finished absolutely last over a mfle; and a quarter, but at Warwick Farm he was always the winner over the last half-mile". He carried the same -weight.as Forestry, 8.4, and was definitely holding him at the finish. Forestry ran out the. mile and a quarter really well and he is sure to pay his way here.
Upoko Ariki in a mile welter was out forcing the pace all the way. Several horses tackled him and he shook them off,' but over the last 100 yards Earlminster came through with the last run and was too good for, the brother of Panjandrum. Both', Forestry and Upoko Ariki are in' pood trim and they should score before they are much older. . ■'
