MEMORIES OF ANZAC

TO SOLDIERS AND SAILORS

The association of Australians and New Zealanders at Anzae is recalled in messages from Sir Gilbert Dyctt, Federal president, and. Mr. L. A. Robb, New South Wales president, of the Returned Sailors' and Soldiers' Imperial League of Australia, to General Sir Alexander Russell.

I-desire to convey through the courtesy of Flight-Lieutenant Ulm, hearty greetings from ex-members of the Australian Imperial Force, who have happy recollections of associations with New Zealand ex-servicemen during tho Great War. They rejoice in the knowledge that the combinations of the names of the respective forces produced the cherished and the immortal name of Anzac, and will always remember' with admiration .and gratitudo the gallantry, tenacity, and comradely conduct of their worthy soldier companions of your great Dominion.—Gilbert Dyett.

Dear Sir, —Flight-Lieutenant C. T. P. Ulm, notable Australian' airman, is making another flight to New Zealand.

The special purpose' of this flight will bo to convey, from the Commonwealth of Australia, goodrwill message's to tho Dominion of New Zealand.

We take the opportunity of conveying tp the members of the British Empire Service League in New Zealand the fraternal greetings of the New South Wales branch of tho Returned Sailors' and Soldiers' Imperial League of Australia. '•'■'..■■

As the citizens of New Zealand well know, Flight-Lieutenant Ulm has served the Empire very well on many occasions. Not only did he serve at Anzae, but since his return "from the Great War ho has by his many, historic flights, greatly assisted in cementing the great comradeship existing between tho Commonwealth and the Dominion, as typified by the hallowed word "Anzae."

The ex-servicemen and women of New South Wales, as represented by this organisation,, extend to their comrades in-the. Dominion all good wishes for tho futuvc.
