M. THOMSON THE WINNER

The Poncke Cycling Club opened its -road-racing"--season "at Kilbirnie on Saturday afternoon with a 10% miles' race for. a cup presented by Mrs. O. Hughes. The ■winner was M.; Thomson,* who was on the 2%rinn mark. W. Lasky- (scr) made fastest time. ~ , ,V ■ "'.' '

When declaring. the season open, the club's patron, ..Mr. E._ H. West, said it 1 must be gratifying to the officials to. see I such a fine muster .of competitors and friends present.- He thanked Mrs. Hughes <ior the silver cup presented by her for 'annual competition in the .opening event.
