ARTILLERY BALL
A POPULAR FUNCTIbN
St. Francis V Hall-will be again on Thursday the scene of the Artillery Ball. The combined batteries in Wellington havo held successful functions overy year, and, judging from the acceptances already receivod, this ball promises to eclipse all previous records. An unusual number of parties have been formed, pointing' to the popularity of the ball with the dancing public, some of whom have little or no connection with the'forces.
An excellent orchestra has been engaged to supply the music, and for those who enjoy dancing to a full military band several numbers will be plavcd by tho Artillery Band under Captain Herd. -
One. of the most important features will bo the supper. In this department nothing should be wanting, as a committee of ladies is busy collecting ana arranging a home-mado supper which, they intend shall bo one of the best. It is hoped that next Thursday will bo a date that will be remembered. Any persons still wishing invitations may apply to Captain Jenkins, P.O Box 406, Wellington.
