FIRM MARKET FOR SHEEP

FEILDIKG, May 11.

There was a good all-round sale of livestock today, with fairly heavy yardings. The market generally showed that purchasers were prepared to give better than venders reserves. A big yarding of fat sheep and lambs sold at firm prices throughout. Kxport buyers secured most ot the lat lambs at excellent prices Fat ewes were higher than at last week's sale and wethers ■ were at about average late rates. There, was a very good inquiry for store sheep, and breeding ewes maintain good values. The market for store lambs has quite recovered from the decline of last week. Store cattle also firmed up in price. Fat cattle and dairy cattle also met a good market.
