SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. A few passing showers accompanied tv« strong and squally southerly winds TsKich blew yesterday along the east coast, but elsewhere the weather . was fine. By Jhis morning the southerly had decreased nearly everywhere In force and conditions were fine and milder generally. East Cape being the only place reporting rain at ,9 a.m. An anticyclone now covers the Dominion.
